HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA - (News Release) - The Rossignol Group announced today that Julia Mancuso has signed another two-year sponsorship agreement to use Rossignol skis, bindings, poles and Lange boots. Mancuso won the gold medal in the Giant Slalom this past winter in Sestriere, Italy. She led after the first run and, in snowy conditions, emerged from the fog with a victorious second run. This was the first U.S. women's GS gold since Debbie Armstrong in 1984. The 22-year-old Lake Tahoe resident also captured back-to-back World Cup second-place finishes in the SG and Downhill at Cortina D'Ampezzo, Italy earlier in the season.

"We are very excited to sign Julia on for another two years, said Francois Goulet, President Rossignol Group North America. "She has been an integral part of the Rossignol Team for many years. Julia maintains a fresh, playful perspective on competitive ski racing and her passion for surfing and love of the mountain culture makes her connection with the Quiksilver Rossignol Group a perfect match, continued Goulet.

Julia Mancuso commented, "I've been on Rossignol/Lange since I was eleven years old. They brought me from Whistler Cup Gold* to Olympic Gold. I am excited to continue the tradition. Rossignol has always been there for me, and the product and service has always been awesome.

Bernard Mariette, President of Quiksilver, Inc., said, "We are very excited to have Julia Mancuso continue her long relationship with Rossignol. We are passionate about Rossignol's mission to sponsor athletes not only with the best competitive qualities but who also can be true ambassadors of our brand on the slopes and off the slopes. Not only is Julia a world-class alpine competitor, she also embraces the freeride movement that Rossignol embodies, whether off piste in Chamonix or in the back country of Utah.

Julia Mancuso joins the number two speed skier in the world, Lindsey Kildow, and recent Olympic Gold Medalist, Ted Ligety, in representing the Rossignol Brand and the U.S. Ski Team in future years.
