Whistler’s newest remodel—formerly the Coast Whistler—unveils in time for the Games, with a village location that’s five minutes by foot from the gondola. Décor is best described as mountain-modern (lots of creams and whites, clean lines and a 20-foot-tall cylindrical lobby fireplace), and the 185-room hotel has a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, flatscreen HDTVs, fitness room and free wireless internet. The onsite restaurant, casual chain White Spot, specializes in burgers and comfort food, but there are plenty of more refined options throughout the village. $259–$1,017; aavawhistler.com
