Add auto-racing to Bode Miller’s growing resume of sporting activities. The Olympic Gold Medalist has teamed up with Swedish X Games champion Jon Olsson to drive the Gumball 3000 Rally, a Tour de France-style auto race that winds from London to Istanbul starting May 26th.

"I have no idea what to expect, but I know it's going to be a cool experience," said Miller, who last summer competed in a qualifier for the US Open tennis championship. "I've always loved that kind of model for auto racing – it's unique."

Jon and Bode are buddies, as they both are athletes for Head skis. Jon has recently forayed into competitive ski racing. Last summer, while training in New Zealand, Jon, a known car aficionado, asked Bode to join him in the Gumball 3000. Bode drives an Audi RS6 between FIS Alpine World Cup tour events, while Jon prefers Lamborghinis, preferably the Murcielago LP 670-4 SV’s.

Participants this year include NFL stars Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts' linebacker Cody Glenn along with hip hop icon EVE and David Hasselhof, who made his fame by driving the original supercar in the 80s Television hit Knight Rider.

The race will close roads and city centers following a route that incorporates Paris, Barcelona, Monte Carlo (attending the Monaco F1 race), Milan, Venice, Zagreb, Belgrade and Sofia before crossing the finish line in Istanbul on June 1st.

The race begins Thursday, May 26 in London's Covent Garden.
