Vail, CO, April 5--According to a report in theDenver Rocky Mountain News, Booth Creek Ski Holdings is reportedly set tosell off four of its seven ski areas.
The report named Bear Mountain,Calif., Waterville Valley and Mount Cranmore, N.H. and The Summit atSnoqualmie, Wash. as the resorts for sale.
According to a Colorado ski industry broker, Booth Creek will keepNorthstar-at-Tahoe and Sierra-at-Tahoe, Calif. and Loon Mountain, N.H. Thethree are the resort group's most successful properties and include realestate development.
Three weeks ago, Booth Creek founder and former Vail owner George Gillettannounced he was leaving the company but would purchase Grand Targhee,Wyo., from Booth Creek for a reported $11 million. Gillett will leave hisposition as CEO but will remain chairman of the board.
