Picture this: You're in Aspen, Colorado, mingling poolside with mountain guides, magazine editors, and pro athletes at a party at the Hotel Jerome after having spent the day hiking and taking a stand-up paddle boarding lesson. Sounds good, right? Well, on the weekend of June 11-13, this could be your reality. Outside Magazine and the Aspen Chamber Resort Association have teamed up to offer Outside in Aspen, a weekend of guided outdoor activities ranging from kayaking and rafting to hiking, trail running, mountain biking, and road biking.

“With Aspen’s natural assets and Outside’s engaged and adventurous audience, we’re framing this weekend to attract athletes of all levels who are looking to either hone skills or  try something new. Our hope is that this becomes an annual weekend of adventure and camaraderie," says Aspen's Julia Theisen.

Two night lodging packages start at $99 per person and include hotels such as Aspen Mountain Lodge, Limelight Lodge, Aspen Square Condominium Hotel, Hearthstone House, The Gant, The Sky Hotel, Hotel Jerome and The Little Nell. Activity packages cost $250 and include two half-day sessions in sports like rock climbing, fly fishing, and more.

Aspen Alpine Guides is also offering an advanced Road Biking Clinic with Tyler Hamilton Training, as well as special high-altitude trail running and hiking clinics with pro-endurance athletes.

Outside is delighted to have this opportunity to bring the pages of the magazine to life in the spectacular setting for human-powered activities that Aspen provides,” said Christine Salem, Outside's Specialty Publishing Director. “Top Outside editors and celebrity athletes will be on hand to gather with our readers for epic fun and adventure.”
