If you build it, they will come. So dreamed Alex Cushing when he built High Camp, Squaw Valley's mountaintop recreation complex. He was right. The plateau is a hive of activity. Novices warm between lessons, families meet for lunch, and experts hang before hitting Silverado. Meanwhile, bungee jumpers leap, skaters glide, and swimmers splash. Wally World? Maybe. Al's world? Definitely. But sit in the Terrace Bar with a view of Lake Tahoe, and High Camp works just fine.
