Park City, UT, March 5, 2001--Thirteen athletes will be traveling to Himos, Finland this week to represent the U.S.Freestyle Ski Team at the FIS World Cup Finals March 9-11.

Moguls, dual moguls and aerials will be contested.

The mogul squad is led by two East-coasters; Evan Dybvig (Tunbridge, VT) and Hannah Hardaway (Moultonborough,NH) and Colorado resident Ryan Riley (Steamboat Springs).

Dybvig recorded a pair of second place finishes, one at Deer Valley, Utah, the other at Mt. Tremblant, Quebec. He tooksixth at the World Freestyle Ski Championships at Blackcomb, British Columbia.

Hardaway, the reigning U.S. mogul and dual moguls champion, picked up her first career World Cup victory in '01 at theDeer Valley World Cup. She's been on every podium spot this season with a second at Iizuna Kogen, Japan and a thirdat Sunday River, Maine.

The '99 U.S. duals champion, Riley has four top-10 World Cup finishes this season, three of those being top-fiveplacings.

Finn Janne Lahtela leads the men's moguls standings with 392 points. Riley is the top American in fifth (312) and isfollowed by Dybvig in sixth (308), Ramos in eighth (256) and Dawson in 10th (236).

On the women's moguls side, Norway's Kari Traa leads the pack with 400 points. Hardaway is third (340) and ShannonBahrke (Tahoe City, CA) is 10th (392).

Aerialists Eric Bergoust (Missoula, MT) and Joe Park (Park City, UT) are 1-2, respectively, on the World Cup aerialspoints list.

Bergoust started off the season with a bang as he won back-to-back events at Mt. Buller, Australia in August. In fact, heset a new world record (for the third time in his career) with a score of 260.98.

Aerialist Brenda Petzold (Andover, MA) also qualified for the finals, but will not compete as she fractured her right claviclein a Lake Placid, New York training accident on Feb. 27. She posted five top-10 finishes on the World Cup tour thisseason. Petzold should be back in training this spring.
