Colorado Wild is also battling this planned expansion, which involves three chairlifts in an area known as Jones Gulch. Environmentalists contend that the project is motivated by real estate interests, and that it would negatively impact a narrow migration corridor that could be used by the wolverine and lynx in the Snake River Valley. The U.S. Forest Service is still studying the issue as part of its environmental impact statement.
