Jackson Hole, WY Mar. 25--Bode Miller rounded out the podium in the Super G today, finishing third, only 0.05 seconds behind Puckett. Miller started third overall, but made a crucial mistake that almost blew him out of the coarse.

"I was having a good run, but I caught too much air in one section and almost missed a gate," Miller said. "The three gates after that I scrambled and lost some time."

The Nationals might be the most competitive ski race in the US, but the racers help eachother out whenever they can.

"After my run, I radioed to Daron (Rahlves) at the top and warned him of the air," Miller continued. "You can carry a lot of speed through the three gates following the air. I missed it and Daron hit it right."

Rahlves appreciated Miller's last-minute advice, shaking his hand and smiling when he reached the finish line as the day's top racer.

"To compete and finish with people like Daron Rahlves is great," Miller added.

Bode Miller is one of the US Ski Team's most promosing young racers, gunning for the podium in every World Cup race he enters. It will be fun to see what the future has in store for the 22 year old.
