ST. CHRISTOPH, AUSTRIA - (Press Release - October 2007) - High-tech sport infrastructure and professional ski training make up the perfect set up for a total new skiing holiday concept. The Ski Austria Academy St. Christoph threw its 75 years of traditional skiing know-how into the cooking pot, spiced it up with the modern architectonical look of its newly built 2*-3* accommodation and serves it with the endless possibilities the wonderful Arlberg skiing area has to offer. In fact, whoever is into ambitious skiing - meaning not only après skiing but also trying to improve techniques and style - might have found the perfect way to spend his skiing holidays, in one of Austria's top skiing resorts.

Since 1923, skiing techniques and skiing pedagogic have been developed and improved in the former "Bundessportheim St. Christoph. The Austrian Skiing Federation took over the place from the Republic of Austria in 1998, and by totally renovating and modernizing it, a new skiing competence center was born.

"We are permanently working on the implementation of new techniques coming from professional ski racing into leisure skiing, and our customers directly benefit from this competence, explains Academy Manager Werner Wörndle. The Ski Austria Academy also has a central role within the classic skiing education in Austria, meaning universities as well as the official education of skiing instructors.

At the Ski Austria Academy, 20 skiing instructors help customers improve their skills in the daily skiing sessions. Special technical courses as well as having fun with "guided free riding are both possible with the Academy team. Whoever has energy left after five hours of skiing can fight his sore muscles in the modern fitness area with an indoor gymnasium, or relax at the rooftop sauna — perfect mountain vista guaranteed. Food and drinks are freshly prepared and served in the urban-looking new restaurant area, and there's no skiing without après skiing — the chillout and bar area cheers up the most exhausted skier at the end of the day.
