Squaw Valley, CA, Nov. 29--Supporting a good cause can't be much more fun than this. Starting today, Squaw Valley is selling one thousand $20 vouchers that can be redeemed on Sunday, Dec. 12 for an all-day lift ticket and two hours of ice-skating.

Proceeds for the day go toward the Excellence in Education Foundation (EEF), a non-for-profit organization that raises funds for endowments and grants for the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District. The EEF annually raises about $100,000 for the schools.

Vouchers can be bought at three local Potters' stores and participating Bank West locations. Children under 13 and students members of ski area's SV Club can purchase a ticket for $5 at the Cable Car ticket window. Local students aged 13-to-18 can join the SV Club for $10 entitling them to $5 day lift tickets on Sundays, snow-days, and holidays all season.

An all-day adult lift ticket currently costs $39 and should go up by Dec. 13 as more terrain opens. So you not only score a great ski bargain, but you can also feel good about supporting local Tahoe schools. For more information call 530-581-7256.
