Squaw Valley, CA Dec. 20, 2004 - Since opening day this season, Squaw Valley USA has been saluting our troops with free lift tickets. This week Squaw Valley Founder Alex Cushing announced the decision to extend the free lift ticket offer to all active duty military personnel through the rest winter season.

Thousands of military personnel have taken advantage of the current offer, which was due to end on Christmas Day. As a result of the tremendous positive feedback and in the spirit of giving and appreciation for their efforts, Cushing announced that he would like to extend the offer.

"We are so grateful for the efforts of our armed forces, explained Cushing. "We have received hundreds of letters and emails of thanks and I want to continue to show our appreciation for them.

The current free ticket offer is valid through Christmas Day (12/25). For the duration of the holidays (December 26 thought January 1) active duty personnel may purchase $39 discounted tickets. The new free ticket offer begins January 2, 2005, offering active duty military personnel complimentary tickets every Sunday through Friday through the end of the winter season, currently scheduled for May 30, 2005. In addition, on Saturdays, active duty personnel are eligible for $39 discount tickets. To redeem the complimentary tickets military personnel must visit the Special Tickets office and present their current active duty military ID along with a second photo ID. Limit one ticket per person per day.
