Bend, Ore.

-Winter returned to Mt. Bachelor this week as temperatures dipped into the lower twenties and 25 inches of new snow fell over the past seven days.

"Northwest skiers and snowboarders will search long and hard before they find better conditions for Spring Break!" exclaimed Mt. Bachelor spokesman Chris Johnston. "The average temperature this past week was only 24 degrees. This is the kind of snow we're known for."

Making the new snow even more enticing are the ticket deals being offered during the Spring Break period. Until April 17, 2005 kids ages 6 to 12 get free multi-day lift tickets when they stay with their parents at participating Central Oregon hotels, motels and resorts. Mt. Bachelor is also giving daily lift ticket discounts for season pass holders from closed resorts in Washington, Idaho and Oregon. College students also get a break on ticket prices when they show their valid student identification. For the remainder of the 2004-2005 Season college students can buy a two or three day ticket for only $49.00.
