Italian wine and cheese, cliff-hucking, and the Make-a-Wish Foundation don’t seem to have a lot in common, but on November 19 they’ll come together for annual premiere at Bobo’s Mogul Mouse Ski and Board Shop in Reno, Nevada, for the premiere of Warren Miller’s

Higher Ground

in style.

Bobo’s has hosted a Warren Miller screening every year for the past 19 seasons, and will kick off this year’s event with an invitation-only Italian-themed cocktail party and silent auction to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

About 130 guests are expected to attend the cocktail party, and among these will be such big names as Shane McConkey, Ingrid Backstrom and Jessica Sobolowski. By the end of the evening, they will have hoped to raise more than $15,000 in order to sponsor three children for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“Not only is it going to be an awesome party, but it’s all going to a good cause, says Warren Miller film veteran and pro free-skier Jessica Sobolowski. “The Warren Miller audience brings you back to your roots about why you love skiing, and it’s a good feeling to see people just fired up for ski season.

Guests will then head over to the new Reno Event Center for the 8 p.m. screening. And even though the joint holds up to 5,000 people, the movie will be displayed on five screens.

“There’s not a bad seat in the house, says Waneta. “We are so completely stoked about this.
