"Old-time skier's mountain. Great value, views. Not for sissies."

Despite being Bode Miller’s home hill, Cannon Mountain remains relatively uncrowded due to its remote location in northern New Hampshire’s Franconia Notch. The masses are missing out. Last year, Cannon annexed 86 acres of its neighbor, the former Mittersill Resort. The expanded terrain offers a backcountry experience with ungroomed, old-school narrow trails, tons of glades, and, on a powder day, stashes of fresh snow. And with Cannon’s Austrian roots, the après isn’t bad either.
