At its lowest, the snow level is boot high; at its highest – at the summit of Windham Mountain – there are 27 inches of the white stuff. Tim Woods, president and general manager of the resort, is looking at a weather forecast that calls for a warm-up by this weekend. “Right now, the ground is soft, and the daily temperature range swings about 30 degrees between high and low temps. Aside from the huge dump of snow, this is normal for October weather. One thing that the big snow event confirms, is that the cold and snowy winter our long range forecasters have all been talking about feels like a safe bet.”
