En Route isn’t your typical ski porn. Backcountry gods Eric Pollard, Chris Benchetler, Pep Fujas, Andy Mahre and their friends at Nimbus Independent document the highs and lows of their trips around the world with this skier filmed and edited series. The latest installment of En Route gives us plenty of Japanese pillow lines and log rides to gawk at with all the broken bones and tomahawks that come with the territory. Lucky for us, the guys at Nimbus know that not every day is bluebird and that not every mountain is billowing in powder. It doesn’t take a helicopter or a steep chute for the crew to have a good time in Hokkaido. A couple headlamps and a pile of snow near a busy mountain road will do just fine. The video leaves skiers with one question unanswered: When is the next flight to Japan?
