The Swatch Skiers Cup was a two-day event, composed of both a big mountain and slopestyle event. Each athlete skied two runs per heat, in a head-to-head match up against a member of the other team. Whoever won that matchup scored a point for their team, and the team with the most points won.

We wanted to bring the team feeling to this, to be in the start, to cheer on your teammates. That’s the idea,” Zackrisson said.

The Candian skier (on team Americas) said “I had two crashes right off the bat, but it’s a good trip all in all. “

Despite consistent scoring from both teams on the slopestyle day, Team Europe had scored too many points on the big mountain day for the Americas to catch up.

The Salt Lake City-based skier scored one of the only points for the Americas on the big mountain day. He scored a point on the slopestyle day, too.
