Deerhammer, Colorado
This complex, smooth sipper is styled after traditional Dutch genever. There’s juniper and herb flavors, but it’s made with a barley-malt mash like whiskey, so it has some grain to it. Ideal for martinis.

Smugglers’ Notch, Vermont
Wait, is this an IPA? On first taste, this unique small-batch gin hits you hard with hops (it’s filtered through them) before bringing on light juniper and subtle citrus flavors.

Santa Fe Spirits, New Mexico
You know that smell of the dry desert hillsides of Taos? Imagine that in a bottle. The aroma should come as no surprise—botanicals are harvested from the local landscape. That smooth bouquet makes it the type of gin that people who claim they don’t like gin will actually like.

Crater Lake, Oregon
To crate this limited- release gin, the distillers handpicked juniper berries, lime basil, and lemon balm on their Bend property and then put it all in oak barrels. Drink it up iced or in a first-class G&T.

The Rathskeller, Loveland Ski Area, CO
Tommyknocker, Pine Bough Pale Ale. The brewers hand-picked spruce needles from Loveland’s slopes to brew this sweet, malty pale with just a hint of winter trees to it as a celebratory beer for the area’s 75th anniversary last season.

General Stark’s Pub, Mad River Glen, VT
Lawson’s Finest Liquids, Sip of Sunshine. Skiers line up to sip Sean Lawson’s creations at Mad River’s famed tavern, so the local brewer ensured that this sublime IPA will be available every day at the bar this season.

The Mangy Moose, Jackson Hole, WY
Snake River Brewing, Pako’s IPA. The epitome of a ski-bum watering hole, The Moose can hardly keep up with the demand for this hoppy ale, which won gold at the Great American Beer Festival and is named after (of course) the brewery’s canine mascot.

Snorting Elk, Crystal Mountain, WA
Elysian, Elk Frost. This party hot spot draws on one of Seattle’s favorite brewers for this malty, ever-popular tap beer that goes down a bit too easy after your legs are wobbly from one final non-stop run down Exterminator.

Brouwerij Huyghe, Melle, BELGIUM
Straight from the source comes one of the more widely loved and readily available Belgian imports. Delirium is a little sweet and a little sour with hints of citrus fruits and yeast.

Unibroue, Chambly, Quebec, CAN
Categorized as a “dark strong ale,” Quebec’s Trois Pistoles is perfect for cold evenings. Caramel and cherry flavors up front give way to molasses and dry yeastiness—all capped by a nine- percent ABV bite.

Epic Brewing Co., Salt Lake City, UT
Saison is often called “farmhouse ale” because it was traditionally brewed for seasonal agriculture workers. True to style, this beer is spicy, sour, and just a tad bitter. It’s complex and utterly delicious.

New Belgium Brewing Co., Fort Collins, CO
This Belgian dubbel is brewed with five malts and a true-to-style yeast strain shipped over from the motherland. A slight sourness and an alcohol heat follow the initial butterscotch and caramel notes.

Mammoth Brewing Company, Mammoth Lakes, CA
Named after one of Mammoth’s steepest pitches, Paranoids Pale offers crisp, malty flavor with just the right amount of hoppy bitterness to finish clean.

Squatters Pub and Beers, Salt Lake City, UT
Dark malts, wheat, and German yeast make Snowbird Dunkel taste like it’s straight out of Bavaria. And at four percent ABV, it’s pretty darn crushable too.

Deschutes Brewing Company, Bend, OR
Made with two varieties of Northwest hops and seven different malts, Red Chair is clean, citrusy, and seriously tasty. It’ll take you to the goods, just like its Mt. Bachelor namesake.

Magic Hat Brewing Company, South Burlington, VT
Yes, Mad River Glen’s single chair has its own malty, easy- drinking golden ale that will quench your thirst after a day of riding solo and lapping Paradise, Chute, and Liftline.
