If you need a clinching reason to attend the University of Montana in Missoula, the Montana Snowbowl will probably qualify. First, it's only 20 minutes from downtown. Second, its 950 acres of terrain (500 of which are in the trees) are complemented by a very respectable 2600 foot vertical drop. Third, it averages 300" of snow a year. And fourth, despite the first three attributes, it remains largely undiscovered.
