Arriving at Oslo International Airport (OSL) gives you the opportunity to choose from a variety of activities and destinations. You can continue your trip by train to the Lillehammerregion, famous for hosting the 1994 Winter Olympic Games. Five ski areas await you there, and the Lillehammer Ski Resorts Pass gives access to them all.

About 2 hours northwest of Oslo, towards the city of Bergen, you will find Norefjell – the most dominant mountain range in Southern Norway. Norefjell is famed for pairing winter sports with winter wellness; here you can indulge in relaxing spa treatments after an adrenaline-filled day on the slopes.

Alternatively, a comfortable, 3.5-hour bus ride will take you from OSL to Trysil, Norway's largest ski resort. The Trysil ski pass gives access to 66 slopes and two snowboard terrain parks. Weekly programs and special ski and snowboard events make this resort a local hotspot.

You can also take the Airport Express train to Oslo and experience a town full of cultural highlights and tourist attractions, such as the Opera House, and a great variety of museums. Try skiing within the city limits. Oslomarka, a huge forest high up on the hills above the city, offers a vast network of cross-country tracks that are free for all to use. Or go alpine skiing in Oslo Winter Park Tryvann, which is only 20 minutes by public transport from the city center.

Ready to go?Scandinavian Airlines, Norway’s flag carrier, offers more non-stop flights from the US to Scandinavia than any other airline. SAS flies nonstop from New York (Newark) to Oslo.
