Open daily until April 20; Weekends into May
Thanks to a recent storm that dropped five feet of fresh on Cali slopes, Alpine Meadows will stay open from Friday through Sunday starting April 20. Closing date is TBD, so start your snow dance now.

With nearly 400 inches this season, Alta extended its season by adding weekend skiing (Friday through Sunday) until May 4.

In its 50th season, Marmot Basin is hosting slopeside parties, with live music, BBQs, and deals for season pass holders through the closing weekend.

Spring conditions have sprung at Sugarbush. With most of Lincoln Peak open, skiing’s looking good. Don’t be discouraged if you missed this year’s pond skim—go get some turns in.

Chalking up 335 inches during the winter, this no-beginners-allowed ski area hopes to extend its season as long as possible. And who can blame ‘em?

Whether you’re a reggae reveler, Sugarloaf still has more than 1,000 acres of skiable terrain open—with corn snow to be found. Three-day spring packs are on sale until the end of the season.

May 11
In the last 30 days, more than seven feet of snow fell at Jay Peak—and the mountain has had below freezing temperatures at night. With 100 percent of its terrain open, winteresque conditions pushed back this Vermont slope’s closing day to Mother’s Day. Thank you, Mother Nature.

May 11
Take in views of the Canadian Rockies as you make turns into late May at one of Banff’s ski areas. With an 80-inch, history-making dump o’ snow in March, you’ll have plenty to slay.

May 17
Open daily through April 27, Meadows will extend skiing hours for May 2-4, May 9-11, and May 17. Word is that a season send-off event is in the works.
And even if it gets warm, Meadows has a 30-feature Spring Park and 18-foot pipe.

May 18
Washington’s biggest, highest ski resort will be open daily until April 20, and then operate on weekends until May 18—perhaps longer if conditions allow. Be sure to check Crystal’s website before heading to the slopes—neon, denim and lace, and beach-themed days may require a pre-ski thrift shop stop.

May 19
With nearly 25 feet of snow to date, Sunshine Village will stay open until May 19. Oh, Canada.

May 25
With 362 inches so far this season, Mt. Bachelor will stay open to Memorial Day weekend. Don’t miss live music, pond skimming, or BrewSki (details are forthcoming but the name sounds frothy, err, fun).

May 26
Whistler Mountain’s last day of skiing will be on April 21, but thanks to an incredible snowfall in February and March, Blackcomb pushed back closing day to May 26. In ’merica, we call that Memorial Day. Plan your 3-day ski weekend now.

May 26
Open daily until Mother’s Day (May 11), Snowbird will then stay open for turns from Friday through Sunday until May 25, plus on May 26.

May 1 (or later)
Although Killington has yet to finalize its last day, the Beast is known for a long season. That means you’ll likely be able to ski there until the snow is gone. March storms brought more snow, and if April’s cool temperatures hold, you’ll be able to extend your season even more.

May 26
Mammoth extended its season (despite a California drought) through Memorial Day (at least). Meet Olympian Stacey Cook at the Chix On Stix event on May 18-19.

June 1
For the best mountainside beach party, hit up A-Basin. With a prime location for late-season snow, A-Basin is made for spring skiing. Don’t forget your tailgate equipment.
