Skiing Magazine is seeking qualified applicants for the position of assistant editor. This is an entry-level position located in Skiing’s Boulder, Colorado, headquarters.
The job entails every aspect of the print and digital publishing process, from brainstorming ideas to assigning stories to writing departments and features. It also involves some pretty cool travel opportunities. Applicants should be passionate skiers with intimate knowledge of gear, ski destinations, trends, and culture. They must have professional writing and editing experience, be savvy about social and digital, and have viable ideas about how to grow Skiing’s brand and audience.
• Journalism or English degree preferred
• Ability to adhere to deadlines
• Detail oriented and self-motivated
• Skiing ability and cultural literacy
• Sophisticated knowledge of social media and digital publishing
