Through years of intense product testing we’ve determined that margaritas are ideal springtime après ski beverages, but we’ve also found that they’re fitting in other circumstances, too. For instance, cinco o’clock on a Thursday in May.

Coincidentally, here in the Skiing office our editorial director, Greg, is known for mixing super strong margs. So, in honor of the Battle of Puebla, sunshine, and tequila, here’s our boss’s not-so-secret margarita recipe.

Ingredients:

Agave Tequila. Lots.
Margarita mix
Triple sec
Ice
Coffee pot
Limes
Salt, or not.

Insert first three ingredients, heavy on the tequila side, into coffee pot (Perfect for portion control. Happens to already be lying around). Stir. Add triple sec.

Now, Greg’s secret step. Add more tequila. Then some more.

If you’re feeling fancy, slice some limes and salt up some glasses. We keep a stash of Dixie cups on hand for exactly this purpose.

Next: turn up the music. The boss man plays this Every. Single. Time he makes drinks. But we’re partial to this and this.

You can probably take it from there.
