Jackie Paaso makes good on the one of the first week’s few sunny and soft snow days. After a few laps in this particular amphitheatre, we farmed a few more areas for the camera, and skied back down to the boat for a dinner of chicken curry.

A few days into the first week, we found ourselves stuck in an iceflow. It was the perfect time to be hoisted up the mast and catch a glimpse of the surrounding landscape. The new ultra light Dynafit touring boot? Not quite. On the fourth day of the trip, and our second consecutive day of gray skies, skier Aurelien Ducroz got bored and decided to attempt a round of waterskiing. Using one of the arctic cold water survival suits on the ship, Aurelien duct taped the rubber boots around his Fritchis, and was towed off into the sea behind the inflatable zodiac in the background. Results of this venture will surely be featured in the film segment.
