Many resorts have opened early with one caveat, season pass holders only. Breckenridge invites pass holders and skiers purchasing tickets alike for a pre-opening pancake celebration, starting at 8:30 on the deck of the Bergenhof. Lifts start turning at 9:00, including the Colorado Superchair, Five Chair, and Rip’s Ride, accessing Springmeier, Spruce, Trygve’s and lower Crescendo runs. Also, three jumps will be available in the upper Park Lane jump line. Local radios and Ripperoo will entertain skiers all day from the Peak Eight base area.
