Squaw, because of its high-angle, cliff-riddled terrain—including the famed Fingers and the Palisades—has been a pro skier’s proving ground since forever. People are here to see and be seen. Keep your eyes open for folks like Cody Townsend—and expect everyone to be looking at you, too.

WHAT: KT-22, obviously, but if the lift- line is insane on a snowy morning (and it will be), head to Granite Chief or Silverado for less-popular steeps that rival KT-22.

WHERE: Snag a pizza bagel and some cookies at Wildflour bakery, then head next door to Le Chamois (the go-to après spot), order a pitcher, and post up on the deck.
