Winter Park, Colorado, opens their summertime mountain bike park, called Trestle, on June 12. This year, they’ve expanded to include updates on the eight new trails added last season, larger rental and high-end demo fleets, more features and jumps, additional extended hour days, and lessons geared specifically for women and beginners.
Trestle Bike Park season passes will stay the same as 2009 pricing through June 30 at only $199 for adults ages 13 and up, and $99 for children 12 and under. Adult season pass prices will go up on July 1 to $229. “To grow the downhill bike industry, we need to keep the value high and price competitive,” says Bob Holme, manager of Trestle Bike Park and Crankworx Colorado (shown here in the orange).
Daily ticket prices will be $34 for a full day and $24 for a half day, price for adults and children are equal. To purchase season passes, call 800.979.0328 or click here to purchase online.
On the downhill trails, you’ll find additional features on the eight new trails added last season and an expanding list of 175 features, including banked cruisers, table-top jumps, elevated stunts, and drops. For novice park riders, there’s a new zone called Green World, an expanded five mile, top-to-bottom beginner trail.
If you’re just getting into downhill mountain biking or you want to improve your skills, Trestle Bike Park is announcing a new progressive lesson and guide program beginning with Trestle 101. You’ll get a 2.5 hour lesson, half-day ticket, and a half-day downhill rental package for $69 Monday-Friday and $79 on weekends. Classes will be offered at 9:30am, 12:30pm and 3:00pm.
New this season, bike rentals and bike demos will be split into two distinct shops each with respective rentals and demos, Trestle Bike Park Shop—for downhill equipment and body armor—and Epic Singletrack Shop—for cross-country mountain biking gear.
