After several days of heavy snow fell in Southern Colorado this past week, with no winds and a fairly stable spring snowpack, photographer Jeff Cricco got the opportunity to close out the storm cycle by scoring a few spots to fly with Telluride Helitrax. Days like these are why Cricco, one of the ski industry’s leading photographers, has continued to work hard in his profession for the past 27 years. “We started a little after sunrise sampling the snow in Helitrax’s northern terrain between between Ouray and Telluride above Red Mountain Pass. Then finished out with some late afternoon evening light in the southern terrain near Ophir Pass and the town of Silverton. Conditions were blue, deep, and all time. Some of the best snow of the season,” recalls Cricco. Looks like it.
