If you think 108mm underfoot is too wide for your all-mountain needs, sit tight. Testers declared the new Trace 108 skis narrower than advertised and that the wider waist is more indicative of the ski’s big personality. Testers praised the ski’s lighter swing weight and energetic feedback, both courtesy of the new caruba wood core, which makes the ski playful and forgiving yet not so wimpy that experts won’t enjoy it.

STRENGTHS: Playfulness, Forgiveness

WEAKNESSES: Crud Performance, Hard-Snow Integrity
