The Best Women’s All-Mountain Wide Skis of 2022: Blizzard Sheeva 10

At No. 2 we have the Blizzard Sheeva 10, a tried and true favorite in this category. Skiers who find themselves drawn to wider all-mountain skis but still want to be able to dig trenches on groomers will find the perfect playmate in the Sheeva 10.

Like all Blizzard skis, the Sheeva 10 doesn’t mess around with its construction. This ski features Blizzard’s Carbon Flipcore technology, which gives the ski a natural rocker profile, progressive flex, and the power to bust through crud and motor down the fall line like no other.

Testers awarded the Blizzard Sheeva 10 the highest scores in Hard-Snow Integrity, noting that this ski is as reliable on edge on firm snow as a narrower waisted ski. Testers also named it the quickest ski in the all-mountain wide category, citing its penchant for quick edge-to-edge transfers.

Says tester Courtney Harkins: “This ski is a blast. It’s poppy, playful, and zippy on every kind of condition. It loves to dart through moguls and hammer short slalom turns. The only issue is it’s hard to arc big turns because this ski just wants to turn.”

Despite its pop and pizazz, testers did call the Blizzard Sheeva 10 one of the burlier skis in this category. They gave it lower marks in the Forgiveness category because, like a lot of Blizzard skis, it’s stiff enough to kick skiers into the backseat if they don’t actively steer the ski. For this reason our testers decided the Sheeva 10 is best suited to more advanced skiers who know how to bend a stiff ski, rather than a skier who is used to passively standing on top of a ski.

And that’s not to say that more intermediate skiers can’t enjoy this ski. Ladies who are still working on their expert technique would likely still appreciate the solid and dependable ride on the Sheeva 10. They just won’t understand what all the fuss is about until they level up.

“The Blizzard Sheeva 10 could be a daily driver for literally any and all conditions, even brutal hard pack,” sums up tester Marina Knight.
