DPS’ new Wailer 100 RP shape is destined to become a classic for those who spend a lot of time in the backcountry but still ride chairlifts. The brand’s Alchemist construction fits the bill for this type of skier with two pure pre-preg carbon laminates sandwiching an all-aspen wood core, plus heavy-duty sidewalls and a World Cup-grade race base. With a short turn radius and a soft-snow-specific effective edge, the Wailer 100 RP is nimble enough to take on tight trees but isn’t a slouch in big open bowls.
