2022 Nordica Enforcer 100

Last season’s Best All-Mountain ski, the Nordica Enforcer 100, returns to the top for 2021-’22 with a slight graphics update but is otherwise the same great ski as last season. Testers at Solitude were still enamored with these boards, giving them top category scores in Flotation, Stability at Speed, and Crud Performance, and top five rankings in every other category except Forgiveness. “They have an uncanny ability to go from mach speed to shut down when needed,” notes tester Bob Gleason. “They snake through bumps and confined spaces, and when you push the throttle to the floor they smooth out the roughness. All-star skis.”

Built with a proprietary wood core blend, two full sheets of Titanal, a carbon chassis laminate, and full sandwich sidewalls, the Nordica Enforcer is by no means a tool for the beginner and intermediate crowd. But stronger advanced and expert skiers who know how to drive a ski from an athletic stance are sure to find skiing bliss with them in any conditions. “Smooth edge to edge, quick when you need it to be, powerful if you want it to be,” says tester Jon Sexauer. “For a strong skier this is a no-brainer ski to have in the quiver, it can handle anything you throw at it.”

While they are near-perfect on the groomers, the Enforcer 100 skis seem to get even better in crud and chop. Much of that has to do with the shape of the ski’s sidecut and rocker. They don’t look like some of the more hourglass-shaped skis in the category, but that doesn’t mean they can’t go turn-for-turn with more racy skis, and usually look and feel better in the process. Away from the groomed trails, all that backbone provides exceptional stability without sacrificing quickness and maneuverability. “The Enforcer 100 felt right at home in any snow conditions I threw at it,” notes tester Mike Britt. “Could ski this all day long, it’s an absolute hero ski.”

  • Strengths: Stability at Speed (1st in category), Crud Performance (1st)
  • Weaknesses: Playfulness (4th), Forgiveness (7th)

Nordica’s iconic Enforcer 100 is all-new for 2021, and, according to our testers, it’s somehow better than ever before. The ski’s revamped construction, which features a new carbon chassis laminate and what the brand calls TrueTip technology, reduces weight and makes the ski smoother on edge, no matter the snow condition or speed. These new construction elements also add just a touch more forgiveness and a supple feel compared to previous versions, and are sure to make strong skiers smile. The testers at Taos showered the new Enforcer 100 with praise, noting that it rewards proper skiing technique with near-flawless performance. It earned the highest scores in the men’s All-Mountain category for Stability at Speed, Crud Performance, Hard-Snow Integrity, Versatility, and Overall Impression. All of these factors added up to winning Best in Test for men’s All-Mountain skis and the coveted Gear of the Year award for 2021.

STRENGTHS: Hard-Snow Integrity, Overall Impression
