2022 Nordica Enforcer 110 Free

After losing the Best in Test crown last season, the Nordica Enforcer 110 Free made a solid comeback this year but was still a few hundredths short of the top. Despite the runner-up status, this ski still earned the highest marks in the Deep Snow category in the Stability at Speed, Crud Performance, Balance of Skills/Versatility, and Overall Impression categories. In fact, if you like to go fast in crud and variable terrain on powder days, you’d probably give this ski top marks in Overall Impression, too.

While the SKI Test crew was clearly stoked on these Enforcer fatties, that doesn’t mean they are made for beginners, intermediates, or even timid advanced skiers. Built with a proprietary wood core and two full sheets of Titanal, the Enforcer 110 Free is an undoubtedly burly powder ski. But for the skiers who can handle it, it’s frickin’ sweet. “Comfortable to go down any face regardless of snow conditions, you have little limiting your ability to enjoy the mountain any day,” comments tester Otto Gibbons. “Even being a little long, it never felt unruly, just in need of more speed.”

The highest marks in Versatility, however, put the Nordica Enforcer 110 Free on a different level for the Deep Snow category. “The best part of these Nordica Enforcer series skis is the fact that you completely forget or don’t care about labeled widths,” says tester Matt Schiller. “If you didn’t know this was a 110 waist, you’d think it was so much narrower in the fact that it can subtly maneuver on a dime. Once off trail, the broad and shapely profile mirrors and molds whatever elements lay ahead. The Nordica Enforcer 110 Free is the mellower and coachable foreverman.”

  • Strengths: Stability at Speed (1st in category), Crud Performance (1st)
  • Weaknesses: Quickness/Maneuverability (8th), Forgiveness (5th)
