Testers were split about the Lumen 99—some felt it best suited for advanced intermediates on the cusp of carving because “it holds on as long as you need and gently eases you into the new turn,” said Bremner. Others felt it was best in soft snow because the tip was unwieldy and planky on groomed, which explains its relatively poor score in Quickness.
