Offering a super soft wood core wrapped in fiberglass, the El Rey is designed as a playful ski intended to bounce all over the mountain. It's a likely choice for those who like to mess around in the park, but also get down with some tight tree runs, skinny chutes, and side booters. Its design has a much shorter turn radius than most of Armada's other skis, perfect for those tough-to-reach spots. For something similar but wider, check out the ARVTi The El Rey is part of Armada's All Mountain Freestyle series, which focuses on skis that are designed to get the job done not only in the park, but also on the rest of the mountain. For park skiers who like to make real turns, and only have the budget for one pair of sticks, this is one of Armada's best. Armada, founded in 2002, is based out of Costa Mesa, California.
