Billed as even wider than the already easy-fitting Hawx, testers were curious about the quality of fit tension this new model would provide. The all's-well sounded once they slipped in. It's surprisingly skin-close, contouring precisely through the ankle, heel and instep (albeit a thicker ankle, heel and instep). It swells to comfortably contain big-guy forefeet and calves. Entry was easy. Closure was straightforward. For a wide body, its ski-driving skills are equal to many in the narrow group. It has more high-torque towing capacity than off-the-line quickness, testers said, but there's plenty of forgiveness and shock absorption for off-piste detours. The simple styling and slimmed down features appealed to our testers, as did its slipper-easy on-and-off capabilities. Memory Fit shell molding takes about five minutes to heat up. Buckle in and let it cool. Of course, it'd be one heck of a huge foot that needed more room than the Magna already offers, but what a godsend to guys like that.
