Pro There was a hole in the Atomic collection of big skis. Not a gaping one, but in need of plugging nonetheless. Between the Sugar Daddy (99 mm at the waist) and the Sweet Daddy (80 mm), there was nothing. Enter the Snoop, which, with its supremely versatile shape and construction, stands out with a sublime blend of groomed, crud and deep-powder performance. Like the Big Daddy (see Free XXL), it’s metal-free, so it’s not overly heavy. But the precision of Atomic’s Beta construction shines through in category-leading Hard-Snow Grip scores. That also explains its Balance of Skills score—No. 1 as well. As a certain rapper would put it, the Snoop’s “got it goin’ on.” As Howard put it: “If the ride is fly, you must buy.” Con Short turns (if you insist) require deliberate effort.
