Waist Width: 70
The Viva S7 is built as a burly women's carving ski with a super short 11 meter sidecut radius designed for quick and snappy turns. Its 118 mm tip is built just big enough to chop through fresh snow and corn, but its 70 mm waist is equivalent to a race ski, making it an ideal tool for groomers. For something similar, but softer with a slightly longer radius, check out the Viva S7's little sister, the Viva S6. The Viva S7 is part of Blizzard's All Mountain Frontside series, which focuses on skis designed to rip groomers like a race ski, but with a little more playfulness for the occasional jaunt to more rugged terrain. Rocker Camber Rocker technology features a cambered middle section built for smooth turns on groomers and varied hardpack, and a rockered tip and tail intended for floating on powder and getting over not-so-smooth conditions. This is used in many of Blizzard's freeride skis, intended for taking on all types of terrain. 3 Matrix technology aligns the camber profile, sidecut, and construction of the ski so they lie perfectly aligned on top of each other, designed for extra stability at high speeds. Sandwich Compound Sidewalls featuring durable ABS and phenol plastics are designed to keep edges locked down on the snow. Suspension (excluded in the Viva S6) integrates a polyamide structure intended to act like an elastic band and reduce vibrations in the ski. Lastly, Dura-Tec integrates aluminum tip protectors, thicker top sheets, tail protectors, and more, designed to keep the ski as durable as possible over time. If you like to rip turns and want to do it as smoothly as possible, this is one of the best series Blizzard has to offer you. Blizzard, based in Mittersill, Austria, was founded in 1953. Its U.S. headquarters are in West Lebanon, N.H.
