Waist Width: 85
The Zero G 85 is Blizzard's skinniest and lightest touring ski; it has a 116 mm tip and 85 mm waist, and it weighs only 945 to 1,255 grams depending on length. This is a ski designed for long treks when there's no room for any extra baggage, and treks that don't necessarily lead to endless powder. By no means is this built as a deep powder ski, but it is Blizzard's best option for those who want to bag as many peaks as possible, no matter what it takes. The Zero G 85 is part of Blizzard's all-new Free Touring series, which specializes in the constantly evolving ski touring scene. Flip Core technology, in which the core itself is built with rocker, rather than forced into a rockered shape during pressing, is designed to result in a chatter-free ride. Rocker Camber Rocker profile features a cambered center that is built for prime race-style turns and a rockered tip and tail intended for floating over varied conditions. Last but not least, all Free Touring skis are lightweight thanks to Blizzard's Carbon Drive technology, which utilizes a carbon frame with a paulownia wood-core construction. This technology makes these skis even lighter than Blizzard's models with Light Core Technology, therefore taking the brand into totally new territory. If you're a big fan of going up hills and not just down them, this is the best series Blizzard has to offer you. Blizzard, based in Mittersill, Austria, was founded in 1953. Its U.S. headquarters are in West Lebanon, N.H.
