The Wailer 105 returns to the DPS collection after a one-year absence and featuring a new, damper construction. It’s a midfat, resort-oriented ski built for everyday conditions inbounds. The new Hybrid T2 construction features a combination of glass laminates with vibration-dampening, torsionally rigid metal laminates-the better to handle high speeds on firmer snow between storms. (There’s also a version available in DPS’s more expensive Pure3 carbon-rich construction.) DPS describes it as “the big-mountain ski for alpin oriented resorts, or alternatively a powder board for shallower snow climates where great hard-snow/frontside versatility is needed.” â
