The Powertrack 84 is Dynastar's middle ground Powertrack ski, with a 123 mm tip and 84 mm waist. It's not as wide as the skis found in Dynastar's more powder-focused Cham series, or the Powertrack 89 (126 mm tip and 89 mm waist) but it's designed just wide enough to chop through moderate powder with ease. The 84 mm waist, however, makes this ski designed mainly for hard snow. If you like to rip groomers but find yourself in powder every once in a while, this is a good ski to check out from Dynastar. This ski is part of Dynastar's Powertrack series, which focuses on all mountain skis intended for any terrain. The overall construction of the series is highlighted by a light paulownia wood core with no metal laminates, for a smoother tip-to-tail flex and decreased weight. All Mountain Rocker technology brings moderate tip and tail rocker designed to help lift the ski up and over powder and other varied terrain, while a flat underfoot section and classic camber provide strong edge control when you need it, designed to rip all terrain. Progressive 5-Point Sidecut technology moves the ski's widest point slightly away from the tip and tail, intended for looser turn initiation and decreased hooking. Dynastar, based in Chamonix, France, was founded in 1963. Its U.S. headquarters are in Park City, Utah.
