The Boomerang is Elan's most big mountain-focused ski in the Twintips series. It's quite wide, with dimensions ranging up to 140 mm at the tip, 120 mm underfoot, and 130 at the tail. BC Rocker lifts the tip and tail up and off the ground, designed for floatation and maneuverability. SST Sidewalls feature ABS plastics designed for durability and edge control. While other skis in the Twintips series are more targeted towards the park, this ski is intended for powder skiing, backcountry booters, and other big terrain outside of the groomers. For something similar but skinnier, check out the Puzzle TBT. Elan's five-model Twintips series focuses on skis intended to spend as much time in the air as they do on the ground. The ski's waists range from 82 - 120 mm, built to take on a variety of terrain both in and outside of the park. Each ski has a unique set of technology, but they all share woodcore and fiberglass integration, designed to keep them light, yet durable. Elan, based in Begunje na Gorenjskem, Slovenia, was founded in 1945. Its U.S. headquarters are in West Lebanon, N.H.
