The Inspire is a race-style, carving-focused ski intended for expert women skiers. It has a versatile, 11.9 - 14.9 m radius range (depending on length) and a skinny, 78 mm waist. It's also packed with technology, starting with WaveFlex technology, in which the top of the ski from the core up has a series of structural waves designed to make the ski stiff laterally yet still supple-flexing longitudinally. (Think corrugated cardboard: easy to bend in one direction, rigid in the other). Amphibio technology optimizes skis to be right- and left-foot specific, designed so that they'll always be edgier on the outside/downhill ski, where power and solidity is most needed, looser and easier to feather on the inside ski, for easy line adjustment. The inside edge of each ski is fully cambered, for maximum effective edge length when it's the outside ski in a turn. The outside edge is tip-rockered, so it's more buoyant and easier to pivot, with a shorter effective edge, when it's the inside ski. RST sidewall technology orients sidewalls vertically, designed to allow the ski to roll up on edge with ease. Dualite Woodcore, a lightweight core with integrated wood stringers (strips of wood) and synthetic core, is designed for maneuverability and increased edge grip. For something similar in the All Mountain Women series, check out the Speed Magic and the Insomnia. The All Mountain Women series is made up of 12 models with a variety of purposes. Some are more carving-focused, some are more off-piste-focused, but they all share an overarching intention to ski well thanks to a plethora of technology Elan has developed over the years. Elan, based in Begunje na Gorenjskem, Slovenia, was founded in 1945. Its U.S. headquarters are in West Lebanon, N.H.
