The highest-performing and most expensive Morpheo women's model is the only one offered with Elan's Fusion binding interface technology, in which the binding is integrated into a milled-out space in the core. And the Morpheo 10 Ti features a strip of metal core-reinforcement that the other models lack. (The "Ti" stands for Titanal, a brand-name aluminum alloy.) The Morpheo series of women's narrow-waisted frontside cruisers includes four models, three with 76-mm waists and a value version with a 70-mm waist. All are sold with 10-DIN Elan bindings. All are built with just a touch of easy-pivoting tip rocker. All but one (the value-version Morpheo 4) feature Elan's Waveflex technology, in which the top of the ski from the core up has a series of structural waves designed to make the ski stiff laterally yet still supple-flexing longitudinally. (Think corrugated carbord: easy to bend in one direction, rigid in the other). The higher-end models (10Ti, 8, and 6) are built using Elan's Dualite Woodcore construction: five wood stringers - thicker ones near the edges, three thinner ones down the middle - surrounded by lightweight foam, to yield the benefits of wood (durability, integrity, responsiveness) at a weight appropriate to women. The value-oriented Morpheo 4 gets a still-lighter core with a single wood stringer down the middle, and it's a simple cap construction, lacking Elan's Waveflex structure. Sidewall constructions vary as well, with moderately edgy partial sidewalls on the 10 Ti and 8 giving away to softer, less-aggressive cap constructions in the 6 and 4.
