The Twilight 90 Carbon is a lightweight all mountain expert women's ski intended to tackle a variety terrain. It has a versatile, 90 mm waist and 12.5 - 16.7 m radius range (depending on length) equally designed for on-piste and off-piste conditions. It's also packed with technology, starting with Wavelight technology, in which the top of the ski from the core up has a series of structural waves designed to make the ski stiff laterally yet still supple-flexing longitudinally. (Think corrugated cardboard: easy to bend in one direction, rigid in the other). Early Rise Rocker lifts the tip and tail slightly up and off the ground, designed to maneuver through powder and other various conditions. Furthermore, with the tip and tail rockered, less edge is making contact with the snow, designed for responsiveness and minimized turning effort. Trulite Woodcore, a women's-specific core, is comprised of a variety of lightweight wood layered from throughout the ski, designed to increase playfulness and maneuverability. TubeLite construction makes the ski lightweight by inserting two carbon tubes, designed for less baggage while maintaining stability. For something similar in the All Mountain Women series, check out the Twilight 90, which is the same ski but a bit heavier. And for something similar but skinnier, check out the Twilight 84 and Twilight 76. The All Mountain Women series is made up of 12 models with a variety of purposes. Some are more carving-focused, some are more off-piste-focused, but they all share an overarching intention to ski well thanks to a plethora of technology Elan has developed over the years. Elan, based in Begunje na Gorenjskem, Slovenia, was founded in 1945. Its U.S. headquarters are in West Lebanon, N.H.
