The Koa 84 is the widest ski from the Koa series, with a 126 mm tip, 84 mm waist, and 112 mm tail. However, it has the smallest radius out of the series (14 m at 159 cm), designed to specialize in quick and snappy turns. The ski utilizes a few technologies designed to give it versatility and practicality: Freeski Rocker, Fischer's most aggressive rocker profile, lifts the tips and tails up and over powder and other varied terrain in an attempt to make your ride down the mountain as smooth as possible no matter what the snow is like. The Air Tec core is also said to be 25% lighter than before, which is Fischer's attempt to make this ski more playful than ever. The ski's sandwich sidewall construction incorporates ABS plastic in an effort to give it a forgiving flex profile that lowers the level of effort needed for powerful, smooth turns. The Koa series focuses on versatile all mountain women's skis. The models within this series hold a variety of technology, including several different rocker and core profiles. Waists in this series range from 75 - 84 mm depending on the model, designed to function as everyday skis that will always get the job done no matter what terrain or snow you're working with. Fischer, based in Ried im Innkreis, Austria, was founded in 1923. Its U.S. headquarters are in Auburn, N.H.
