Fischer prides itself on offering race skis virtually identical to what it uses on the World Cup. The only difference is flex. World Cup athletes use race-room products of exacting stiffness. Commercially available Fischer race skis are appropriately softer to better suit second-tier athletes. Still too stiff for freeskiing fun? For most, yes, though hardcore carvers and town-league champs will find the shorter lengths sufficiently manageable. But testers felt it belonged in the course, where its edge-grip was unshakable, and only worked best at race speed, where G-forces helped flex it. DelliQuadri liked its "crisp, clean edge and the way it shoots into each turn."
