Testers liked the new open toe and roomier forefoot shape of the First Chair. It allows the foot to find the ground and spread out a little bit for improved balance, comfort and warmth. The full and cushioned feeling Pro liner is highly moldable and testers with a variety of foot shapes were able to find a warm and comfy final fit. The free-flexing three-piece design and open spiral-wrap at boot top made for a lot of fore-aft freedom. The flex feel of the First Chair was a winner, again. The long ranging, cushioned feel of a Full Tilt’s flex is the brand’s defining characteristic for many of our testers. One of the boot’s best features is simply how well it slides on and off, a function of a cabrio lower boot and spiral wrap liner—an entry/exit combination that’s tough to beat. Tongues, bootboards, cables and buckles and more can be replaced, swapped and fine-tuned for a skier’s style and preferences.
