Gath, best known in the world of surfing, hasn’t varied much from the original lightweight, close-fitting helmet it’s famous for. “If you’re looking for a crash helmet, look somewhere else,” says Steve Murray, of Murray’s, the Australian company’s U.S. distributor. “But if you want something light that will protect you from cuts and bruises, then our helmets are a good choice.” That said, Gath will have three models to choose from: Non-Visored ($99), Fixed Visor ($129), and Full Retractable ($149).
